Functieomschrijving

This is Guidion

We operate a platform that connects our nationwide network of self-employed technical specialists and nurses. On behalf of major brands such as VodafoneZiggo, Odido and Comfort Partners, they carry out services in people’s homes. How do we do that? In our own, unique way: by making the entire customer journey for consumers as enjoyable and effortless as possible. The result? Every year, we make around 1 million people happy with our service. And we’re proud of that.

This is the role

Due to the growth of Guidion and the increasing complexity of our cloud landscape, we are looking for a Cloud / Solution Engineer. We need an extra pair of hands to help manage and further develop our cloud-related services, while keeping our platform scalable, reliable and future-proof.
In this role, you see technology as a means to an end: enabling development teams to achieve their goals and supporting Guidion’s ambition of building a state-of-the-art platform with operational excellence. You are pragmatic, but at the same time motivated to continuously improve systems and follow best practices.

This means:

  • Maintaining and improving our cloud infrastructure and services.

  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code.

  • Automating and improving CI/CD pipelines.

  • Supporting development teams with both project-based work and ad-hoc requests.

  • Continuously evaluating and improving existing systems, without blindly following trends.

This is the function

Are you an engineer who enjoys balancing pragmatism with technical excellence? As a Cloud / Solution Engineer at Guidion, you primarily focus on enabling development teams and improving our cloud platform.
You work closely with colleagues from Cloud Infrastructure, as well as other development teams (web, data and Salesforce). While most core solutions are already in place, nothing is set in stone. We actively encourage discussions, improvements and new ideas as long as they make sense.

What is expected of you?

  • Maintain and further develop our cloud infrastructure (AWS).

  • Design, develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).

  • Build and improve CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions).

  • Support development teams with cloud-related projects and ad-hoc questions.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and evaluate them critically.

Within the first six months:

  • You are up to speed with our internal tooling and actively contribute to its development.

  • You understand Guidion’s interests and how the Cloud Infrastructure team contributes to them.

  • You have clear ideas about improvements to our current systems and processes.

Vereisten

This is you

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience and an HBO/WO working and thinking level.

  • You have a computer science–related background or education.

  • You have experience with:

    • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is a big plus)

    • AWS

    • CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions is a plus)

    • At least one programming language (Python or TypeScript preferred)

  • You are available for at least 32 hours per week (40 preferred).

  • You work from the Netherlands and are happy to join us at the office at least one day a week.

  • You are motivated to learn, improve systems and processes, and grow in your role.

  • You are communicative, positive and enjoy working with teams that collaborate mostly remotely.

Experience with specific tools is important, but your ability and motivation to learn matters even more. If you don’t tick every box yet, but you’re eager to grow, we’d still love to hear from you.

This is what we offer

  • An appropriate salary of €3.600 to €4.100 (gross) based on 40 hours and on your work experience.

  • Flexible and hybrid working; our office in Amsterdam is our meeting place where we like to work, have lunch and socialize together.

  • Unlimited days off (!).

  • ‘Young children’ support: a 36-hour contract where you work four days (32 hours) and are home one fixed day a week.

  • A culture based on Management Drives, focused on growth and getting the best out of ourselves.

  • A generous annual training budget and access to a psychologist via Thrive. #letsgrow

  • A monthly budget for your favorite sports class.

  • Annual profit sharing when we achieve our Guidion-wide objectives.

  • A well-arranged pension without personal contribution.

  • A fresh, rich lunch every day from our beloved Cheryl.

  • A CO₂-neutral office with compensation via the Fair Climate Fund.

  • Travel expense reimbursement, with extra encouragement for sustainable options.

  • Various crews and clubs to join, like Team Green, Diversity & Inclusion, Share-the-Fun and more.

Fun fact:

  • 50% of our team won Hackathon 2025: because we’re 50% the best.

  • That same 50% also had the most “I-took-down-production” moments in 2025… also because we’re the best 😄
