Data Lead

As Data Lead, you will be both the driving force and technical anchor of our versatile data team of 7 colleagues. You will divide your attention between coaching your teammates and actively contributing to the technical work yourself. In this role, you will occasionally pick up tickets yourself and act as a sharp gatekeeper who gets to the bottom of the real question behind the request. With your deep technical expertise and no-nonsense mindset, you continuously drive speed, security, and valuable innovation within Guidion.

What will you be doing?

• Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, and a Product Owner.

• Managing and prioritizing the product backlog to apply the right focus as a technically strong gatekeeper.

  Supporting and continuously improving our data platform to guarantee a solid and scalable data landscape.

• Supporting operations and our external partners by generating relevant, impactful insights.

• Ensuring safety, security, and privacy to keep all data secure at the highest level.

• Exploring and implementing AI opportunities—from initial proof-of-concept to production-grade solutions that run, are monitored, and are continuously improved—to make our internal and external processes smarter and more effective.

• Maintaining the right balance between technical perfection and the necessary speed to keep the organization moving forward.

What we’d like to see in you

You are a decisive, result-oriented professional who dares to make decisions and keeps up the momentum. You combine analytical sharpness with the persuasiveness needed to bring the team along in a pragmatic way of working. Because our stakeholders are mostly present in the office, you have strong communication skills, are highly approachable, and easily build connections. Additionally, you bring:

• Academic (WO) level of working and thinking;

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the data domain, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership/guiding role;

• Deep technical knowledge of data warehouses, data modeling, and data security.

• Experience with AI, Python, SQL, dbt, Git, and Power BI.

• Fluency in Dutch and/or English.
